Martin has given us many talks before : some about climbing Himalayas- others about Newent. The subject of this talk is a larger-than-life Victorian character : a famous clown, showman, raconteur, evangelist, farmer and equilibriist (walking on bottles). He was adored by children and adults who never grew up and ended up farming at Cugley, near Taynton, Newent
