John is a member of Evesham Probus Club, a published author, and a very experienced public speaker. Before his retirement he spent his working life in the motor industry, and several of his Talks are rooted in those experiences. For his first visit to Newent we have chosen a light-hearted talk on some of the many disasters which the PR people will always deny! (As an American admiral once said when his destroyer ran aground in the Philippines “The sort of thing that can ruin your whole day!”).
